end of the rope

I was in Staples the other day and saw a 6 pack of bungee cords for $2. I knew I could do something with them but what?
This is what happens when I get bored at 11pm with nothing to do. I emailed pics of my masterpiece to my BFF and he immediately reminded me how they resembled the Proenza Schouler bracelets of the season.

driving a wedge

Every mag/blog I've checked for the past 3 months includes a layout on wedges. Espadrille, wood, cork...they're making every wedge imaginable this spring/summer and I couldn't be more amped. I LOVE wedges. Something about the added height and stability of a wedge makes me feel badass. I think it's the Latina in me but wedges conjure up images of spicy women with tight jeans, off the shoulder shirts and red lipstick. They instantly make me more confident. That might be the reason I have over 15 pairs. I can't wait to pull them out this spring/summer. The Pierre Hardy pair above is the pair I'm lusting after this summer. The Matt Bernson pair below I'll be rocking this summer thanks to my mother.

damou

jacket: Cavi, t-shirt: CFDA Fashion for Haiti, jeans: sample from Urban Outfitters, shoes: Jordan 3 (Nike), sunglasses: Spitfire, bracelets: RJ Graziano and Choose Haiti, scarf: Special Blend, earrings: Obey Propaganda

I'm being lazy and I didn't feel like combing my hair (at least I'm honest) so I grabbed this Special Blend scarf that my BFF found at TJ Maxx for $2 and ran with it.

I'm a huge sneakerhead but the older I get the more I try to wear them with things other than blue jeans. Nothing makes you look more like a pre-teen than a t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes hence why I went with the snakeskin print jean. This outfit is quinnessential lazy me.

p.s. damou means to love in Haitian Creole...
